Job summary

A leading engineering firm in IoT is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design and deployment of IoT-enabled systems. The Systems Engineer supports the design, integration, and deployment of IoT-enabled and automation-based systems across domains such as facility monitoring, weighbridge automation, and smart asset management. The role involves configuring, testing, and validating multi-technology systems comprising sensors, controllers, AI cameras, and backend platforms, ensuring compliance, performance, and reliability in field operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 1. System Implementation & Integration
    1. Configure and integrate IoT devices, sensors, controllers, and gateways for smart facility or field systems.
    2. Establish communications between edge devices and backend platforms via APIs, industrial protocols, or middleware.
    3. Conduct functional and performance testing, including verification of data capture, communication reliability, and safety compliance.
  • 2. Field Deployment & Commissioning
    1. Support site installation, setup, and system bring-up for projects such as weighbridge kiosks, monitoring systems, or automated storage infrastructure.
    2. Perform troubleshooting, calibration, and validation to ensure system readiness and acceptance.
    3. Document configuration settings, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
  • 3. Technical Coordination
    1. Work closely with software, analytics, and project teams to align field devices with application requirements.
    2. Interface with vendors and engineering partners to validate hardware specifications and SDK/API documentation.
Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering.

1–2 years of experience in IoT, automation, instrumentation, or embedded systems integration.

Working Knowledge:
  • Network protocols (Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, TCP/IP).
  • Serial or industrial communication (RS‑485, Modbus, CAN, I/O).
  • Basic API or data‑exchange tools for connectivity testing.
Soft Skills:
  • Analytical, systematic, and detail‑oriented in testing and documentation.
  • Self‑driven learner able to adapt to emerging technologies and new integration frameworks.
