A leading semiconductor company in Singapore seeks a Firmware Engineer to develop and test firmware for SSD products. Responsibilities include ensuring quality through comprehensive testing and maintaining effective communication with management and teams. Candidates should have a Master's or Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering, with experience in embedded programming, particularly with C, and knowledge of storage interfaces. This role demands at least 2 years of experience in embedded systems development.
SSD Products: Develop firmware IP subsystems for SSD products that meet or exceed the requirements of the technical spec matrix; including, but not limited to: Performance, Endurance, Capacity, Functionality, and Quality/Reliability
Firmware Quality Assurance: Develop a firmware unit and functional tests that ensures the firmware subsystem meets the quality, functional, and performance requirements required at each integration breakthrough in the product development lifecycle
Consistently provide Management, multi-functional team members, and the firmware team with detailed and accurate information. This includes activities within the firmware development organization and project status updates.

Masters or Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering
Excellent communication skills.
Experience with firmware/embedded programming (primary C programming)
Experience working with storage interfaces such as SATA, SAS, PCIE is considered a plus.
Experience working in NAND would be an advantage
At least 2years or equivalent experience in the embedded systems development field
Conducts analysis, designs, performs programming, debugs and modifies software. Troubleshoots code for firmware applications. Utilizes analog and digital hardware and software operating systems. Typically, programs in machine language, assembly language and high-level languages, (e.g., C, Python)
