Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks an Engineer to manage site coordination and compliance verification. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structure Engineering with relevant construction experience. Responsibilities include resolving site issues, ensuring documentation is ISO audit-ready, and assisting in project planning. Competitive salary range is between SGD 3,800 to SGD 5,400.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with consultants / subcontractors on shop drawings and samples.
  • Attend project meetings and resolve site issues.
  • Verify work compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Resolve site issues to minimize delays.
  • Ensure documentation is updated for ISO audit.
  • Cooperate with safety department within safety framework.
  • Assist site management in project planning and coordination.
  • Plan and schedule construction operations.
  • Prepare documents for authorities’ submission.
  • Study tender and construction drawings to understand requirements.
  • Understand critical project criteria regarding schedule and productivity.
  • Provide guidance to new/junior staff.

Working Days: 5 Days A Week (Monday – Friday), 8.30am to 5.30pm
Office at City Hall
Salary: $3800 to $5400

Relevant site / building construction experience.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • To coordinate with consultants / subcontractors on the shop drawings / samples / method statements and keep all involved parties updated of the latest changes.
  • To attend project / technical meetings and resolve site issues with owners / consultants to ensure smooth progress.
  • To verify that the work done on site complies with approved drawings, specifications, and authority requirements, and to ensure subcontractors rectify non‑compliance.
  • To resolve site issues with consultants / subcontractors / suppliers ASAP to minimize delays.
  • To ensure related documentation is updated and ready for ISO audit.
  • To cooperate with the safety department and carry out assigned duties within the safety framework.
  • Assist the site management team in project planning & coordination.
  • Plan and schedule work sequences for construction operations.
  • Arrange and prepare documents for authorities’ submission for Conquers, RI, TOP, etc.
  • Study tender / construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to understand project requirements.
  • Understand critical project criteria related to schedule & productivity.
  • Provide guidance to new staff / junior staff.
