Job summary

Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc. is seeking an Engineer, Engineering Documentation to create and maintain drawings, CAD models, and technical publications. This role ensures data integrity in the PLM system and supports change management across multiple site teams.

The successful candidate will handle ECO validation, data migrations, and classification of components, contributing to efficient product development and manufacturing work flows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; relevant experience preferred.
• Candidates with little or no experience are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in NX and/or SolidWorks CAD software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain drawings and CAD models per specs and change requests.
• Ensure compliance with drafting standards and documentation requirements.
• Support ECO implementation by validating drawing updates and documentation control in PLM.
• Perform CAD data migration, drawing conversion, and legacy documentation updates.
• Manage component classifications in PLM for accurate part categorization and retrieval.
• Develop technical publications like installation instructions, spare parts books, and hardware manuals.

Job description

The Engineer, Engineering Documentation is responsible for creating and maintaining engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with design standards and specifications. Supports engineering change management, PLM data integrity, component classification, and documentation control to facilitate efficient product development and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Generate, revise, and maintain drawings and CAD models in accordance with engineering specifications, design requirements, and change requests, while ensuring accurate data management in the PLM system
• Perform detailed drafting checks to ensure that drawings comply with company drafting standards, engineering specifications, and documentation requirements
• Support Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementation by validating drawing updates and ensuring proper documentation control in the PLM environment
• Execute CAD data migration, drawing conversion, and legacy documentation update projects to improve data consistency with current engineering standards
• Manage and maintain the Classification for Components within the PLM environment to ensure accurate part categorization and efficient data retrieval
• Develop technical documentation and publications, such as kit installation instructions, spare parts book and hardware user manuals

Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with some relevant working experience preferred
• Candidates with little or no relevant experience are encouraged to apply
• Proficiency in NX and/or SolidWorks CAD software will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in MS Word and Adobe Acrobat software
• Able to work in an environment with heavy multi-site engineering and cross-functional collaboration
• Effective verbal & written communication skills, a positive attitude, an open mindset and a team-oriented individual
