Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore seeks a validation engineer to design, implement, and maintain interfaces for test equipment and automation frameworks for SSD and storage validation.

You will partner with firmware, hardware, and product teams to ensure robust validation aligned with customer requirements. The role emphasizes automated test strategies, scalability, and early defect detection, with AI-enabled enhancements integrated into daily workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows or Linux kernel, driver, or low‑level operating system components.
• Experience with datacenter server platforms, storage systems, and hardware validation/debug activities is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of operating system APIs including process control, memory management, and device driver interactions.
• Understanding storage systems, NVMe architecture, PCIe, firmware, drivers, CPU, memory, and operating system interactions is an added advantage.
• Experience working within Agile product development environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain interfaces for new test equipment, validation tools, and automation frameworks.
• Define, plan, and execute automated test strategies that improve coverage, scalability, and validation efficiency.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, test, and product teams to develop robust validation solutions aligned with product features and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot SSD, software, and platform integration issues by reproducing failures, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions.
• Evaluate and enhance validation methodologies to improve defect detection and shift failure discovery earlier in the development lifecycle.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities that improve test scalability, repeatability, and execution efficiency.
• Maintain clear documentation of test methodologies, workflows, validation results, and lessons learned to support knowledge retention and traceability.
• Support Agile development activities including planning, execution tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across global sites and time zones.
• Integrates AI‑assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising good judgment and aligning with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
