Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Global Planning Modeling Engineer to be the central contact for the Manufacturing network, calculating and presenting capital impacts of process changes to senior leaders in manufacturing and R&D.

You will join the Operations Central Team to connect Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Production and Planning for cost savings and execution of manufacturing changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a Business-related or quantitative field (MBA or Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Experience turning sophisticated and ambiguous problem statements into structured solutions in a multi-functional environment.
  • Experience operating independently with strong organization and change management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Semiconductor Capacity Planning.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize capacity of install equipment and lead sites; perform tool-level optimization for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with partners to understand tool and process roadmaps; calculate network capacity impacts of changes.
  • Complete financial analysis before new capital equipment purchases; assess metrics optimization and capacity sharing.
  • Verify capacity modeling accuracy to avoid surprises after the bottom-up IE estimation process.
  • Drive balance between capital spend and demand satisfaction; communicate improvement opportunities for constraints.
  • Drive and implement plans for improvements across the network.

As a Global Planning Modeling Engineer, you will be a central contact for the Manufacturing network, calculating and presenting capital impacts of process changes to senior leaders in manufacturing and R&D!

As a part of Operations Central Team, you will be responsible for connecting many parts of the business in order to drive execution of manufacturing and cost savings processes, including Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Production and planning! Innovation is highly valued at Micron, and you will have the opportunity to develop new tools to expedite, optimize and refine the planning and reporting processes used across the network. The ability to understand and effectively communicate capital impacts of manufacturing changes is crucial.   • Optimize capacity of install equipment and lead sites and tool level optimization studies for efficiency improvement.
  • Collaborate with partners to understand future tool and process roadmaps, and calculate network capacity impacts of process changes.
  • Complete financial analysis before new capital equipment is purchased including metrics optimization, process flexibility, capacity sharing and equipment repurpose.
  • Verifying capacity modeling accuracy to avoid any surprises after the IE bottom-up estimation process.
  • Driving Balance on minimize Capital Spend vs Maximize Demand satisfaction
  • Manage and communicate improvement opportunities for existing constraints and drive implementation plans
Qualifications:
Required
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a Business-related or quantitative field (Finance, Economics or similar discipline). MBA or Master’s degree is a plus
  • Experience turning sophisticated and ambiguous problem statements into structured solution while working in a highly multi-functional environment
  • Experience operating independently while maintaining a high degree of organization, control and change
  • At least 2 years experience in Semiconductor Capacity Planning
Preferred
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results cross diverse technical and non-technical groups
  • Experience working in teams, establishing and maintaining multi-functional relationships
  • Experience in a combination of capacity analysis, business analysis or process analysis
