Job summary

Micron Semiconductor Asia Operations Pte Ltd is seeking a Global Planning Modeling Engineer to be a central contact for the Manufacturing network in Singapore. You will calculate and present capital impacts of process changes to senior leaders in manufacturing and R&D, driving data-driven decisions across functions.

You will join the Operations Central Team, connecting Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Production and Planning to optimize capacity, improve cost savings, and implement AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and reporting results across technical and non-technical groups.
• Experience working in teams and maintaining cross-functional relationships.
• Experience in capacity analysis or business/process analysis.

Responsibilities

• Optimize capacity of install equipment and lead site/tool level studies for efficiency.
• Collaborate with partners to understand future tool and process roadmaps and calculate network capacity impacts.
• Perform financial analysis before new capital equipment purchases, including metrics optimization and capacity sharing.
• Verify capacity modeling accuracy to avoid surprises after IE bottom-up estimation.
• Drive balance between capital spend and demand satisfaction.
• Manage and communicate improvement opportunities for constraints and drive implementation plans.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and sharing AI-enabled enhancements.

As a Global Planning Modeling Engineer, you will be a central contact for the Manufacturing network, calculating and presenting capital impacts of process changes to senior leaders in manufacturing and R&D!

As a part of Operations Central Team, you will be responsible for connecting many parts of the business in order to drive execution of manufacturing and cost savings processes, including Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Production and planning! The ability to understand and effectively communicate capital impacts of manufacturing changes is crucial. • Optimize capacity of install equipment and lead sites and tool level optimization studies for efficiency improvement.
• Collaborate with partners to understand future tool and process roadmaps, and calculate network capacity impacts of process changes.
• Complete financial analysis before new capital equipment is purchased including metrics optimization, process flexibility, capacity sharing and equipment repurpose.
• Verifying capacity modeling accuracy to avoid any surprises after the IE bottom-up estimation process.
• Driving Balance on minimize Capital Spend vs Maximize Demand satisfaction
• Manage and communicate improvement opportunities for existing constraints and drive implementation plans
• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a Business-related or quantitative field (Finance, Economics or similar discipline). MBA or Master’s degree is a plus
• Experience turning sophisticated and ambiguous problem statements into structured solution while working in a highly multi-functional environment
• Experience operating independently while maintaining a high degree of organization, control and change
• At least 2 years experience in Semiconductor Capacity Planning

• Experience working in teams, establishing and maintaining multi-functional relationships
