Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an Operations Engineer in Singapore to support technology development and engineering builds.

You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, planning, and logistics teams to drive wafer movement, logistics, and build execution in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes planning, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement, with exposure to semiconductor manufacturing and project coordination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant engineering fields.
  • Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing or related processes is advantageous.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SAP or MES is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and automation tools (Power Apps, Power Automate).

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering and technology development builds with cross-functional teams.
  • Plan and coordinate build schedules, milestones, and activities.
  • Track progress, deliverables, and timelines for successful execution.
  • Coordinate material readiness, logistics, and resource availability for builds.
  • Support daily operational activities including wafer movement and build execution.
  • Assist with material shipments, receiving, and sample submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with processes and quality standards.
  • Participate in project reviews and status updates.
  • Monitor project and operational status and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Identify issues and work with team to resolve them.
  • Maintain project documentation and records using collaboration tools.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.

As an Operations Engineer, you will support technology development and engineering build activities by working closely with cross‑functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, planning, and logistics. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to semiconductor operations, project coordination, and technology development in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support engineering and technology development builds with cross‑functional teams.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating build schedules, milestones, and activities.
  • Track project progress, deliverables, and timelines to support successful execution.
  • Coordinate material readiness, logistics, and resource availability for engineering builds.
  • Support daily operational activities, including wafer movement, kitting, and build execution.
  • Assist with material shipments, receiving, sample submissions, and other logistics activities.
  • Ensure operational activities comply with established processes, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Participate in project reviews, prepare status updates, and follow up on action items.
  • Monitor project and operational status and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify issues and work with team members to support timely resolution.
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, and records using collaboration tools.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
AI Responsibilities
  • Utilize AI‑assisted tools responsibly to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality of work while adhering to company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Explore, learn, and share AI‑enabled process improvements that can enhance operational effectiveness within the team.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Exposure related to semiconductor manufacturing, advanced packaging, process engineering, operations, or project management is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar applications.
  • Exposure to enterprise systems such as SAP, MES, or project management tools is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of data visualization and automation tools (Power Apps, Power Automate)
