Position Overview

Black Sesame Technologies is seeking motivated and talented individuals to join our team as Engineer, AI Computing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies for autonomous driving. You’ll contribute to the development of high-performance simulation models and optimization strategies, helping us deploy AI solutions on embedded platforms such as TensorRT on NVIDIA Orin. We welcome individuals who are eager to learn, innovate, and make a real-world impact.

Responsibilities
  • Develop performance analysis models to identify hardware bottlenecks and propose architectural improvements.
  • Build functional and execution models to accurately simulate chip behavior and results.
  • Collaborate with hardware development and testing teams to define modeling strategies and ensure designs meet specifications.
  • Work with the compiler/model compilation team to provide optimization feedback and ensure accurate simulation results.
  • Develop custom CUDA operators in PyTorch that maintain data consistency between model and hardware, for customer-facing applications.
Qualification/ Requirements
  • Education: Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience: Internship or academic research experience in chip modeling, performance simulation, or AI computing preferred.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, CUDA, and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch. Experience with C++ or hardware modeling tools is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong interest in system architecture and performance analysis. Able to identify and resolve modeling discrepancies.
  • Teamwork: Effective communicator and team player, capable of working across multidisciplinary teams.
