Qualifications

• GCE O-Level, A-Level, Diploma or Degree in Education, Chinese Language or related field.
• Good command of written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin).
• Familiar with Singapore MOE Chinese syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Passion for teaching and nurturing young learners.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills.
• Responsible, patient, enthusiastic and committed to student success.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Chinese lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE syllabus.
• Assess students' learning needs and customise lesson plans to maximise learning outcomes.
• Teach Chinese language skills: vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking.
• Mark assignments, monitor progress and provide timely feedback.
• Prepare students for school assessments and examinations.
• Develop students' confidence and language proficiency.
• Create a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding progress.
• Develop teaching resources and classroom activities.
• Uphold teaching standards, values and commitment to excellence.
