Job summary

Building System and Diagnostics Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a sustainability engineer to lead energy audits, Green Mark projects, and energy retrofits within building services. You will drive site assessments, data analysis, and reporting while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to meet client energy efficiency targets.

The role emphasizes ASHRAE knowledge, stakeholder communication, and hands-on experience in ME/EE building services.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a Postgraduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Mechanical), Building Services or equivalent.
• Preferably engineers specializing in Engineering – Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical.
• Familiar with Green Building certification processes (e.g. Green Mark) will be an added advantage.
• Familiar with ASHRAE Level 1–3 Energy Audit will be an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, multitasking, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead in creating sustainability roadmaps and sustainability solutions; drive project execution with quality deliverables.
• Be part of the Green Mark, Energy Audit and Energy & Project Management team.
• Manage and work on Green Mark Certification for Existing Building and Data Centre projects.
• Manage and work on Energy Audit / Energy Assessment / Energy Retrofitting, Contracting and Improvement projects.
• Conduct site walks and gap analyses to identify upgrades for energy, water savings, sustainability, and waste reduction.
• Perform energy audits on building services (Level 1–3) to evaluate performance and upgrading needs.
• Verify energy performance of existing chilled-water plants through M&V and BMS data analysis.
• Prepare gap analysis and energy audit/assessment reports per templates and standards.
• Review energy and water savings strategies for retrofits; engage in benchmarking.
• Involve in conceptual designs, tender documents, tender evaluations, and project management for energy retrofits.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Mechanical), Building Services or equivalent.
• Preferably engineers specializing in Engineering – Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical.
• Familiar with Green Building certification (e.g. Green Mark, etc) process and criteria will be added advantage.
• Familiar with ASHRAE Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Energy Audit will be added advantage.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
• Team player with the ability to work as a team, willing to learn, contribute ideas and assist team member with tasks/duties, when required.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to analyse building or industrial services plant and chilled-water plant operational data.
• Broad based experience of computer systems and MS Office applications.
• Preferably at least 2 years of working experience in M&E / Green Mark / Energy Audit / Energy Assessment, or similar industry.
• Candidates with more than 5 years of experience will be considered for the Senior level.
• Prior working knowledge of ACMV, Mechanical & Electrical designs in Commercial Buildings or Industrial Facilities Plants is a plus.
