Job summary

We+ Asia is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop software for connectivity and control of measurement devices across the Field, Edge, and Cloud. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to bring advanced measurement solutions to market.

You will also contribute to cloud-based solutions that enhance the Digital Experience of remotely connected IIoT devices. A strong background in C# / .NET and C++, plus Windows and Linux app development, is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Petrophysics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing cloud and/or on-premise services and applications.
• Proficiency in C# / .NET and C++.
• Deep understanding of one of the following platforms: Linux, Windows, or Embedded Linux (e.g., Yocto).

Responsibilities

• Build prototypes, products, and systems suitable for testing; set up and run lab simulations.
• Develop and maintain high-quality software for cloud and on-premise services and applications.
• Stay current with cutting-edge IoT-related technologies.
• Share expertise throughout the organization and provide user training for products.
• Evaluate engineering approaches and risks to develop production plans that ensure high-quality, cost-effective products.
• Author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations.
• Develop and maintain Azure DevOps release pipelines.

In this role, you will also contribute to cloud-based solutions that enhance the Digital Experience of remotely connected IIoT devices.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in C++ and C# programming, experience in Windows and Linux application development, and knowledge of communication protocols and messaging systems.
