Job summary

XG Tech is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer specializing in boot and BSP to design and optimize bootloader and system initialization software for AI SoCs and edge platforms.

You will drive fast, reliable startup, firmware management, and hardware bring-up, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth integration and production readiness across automotive-grade devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics, CS, Automation, or related field.
• 5+ years of bootloader, system initialization, or firmware upgrade experience.
• Deep understanding of ARM64 boot process.
• Hands-on with ATF (ARM Trusted Firmware) and U-Boot.
• Proficient with hardware debugging tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Experience with platform bring-up and production software releases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver bootloader solutions including BootROM, BL2, BL31, U-Boot
• Develop and maintain firmware download, flashing, provisioning, and upgrade solutions for embedded platforms
• Optimize boot performance for fast startup and improve system stability, including restart and recovery mechanisms
• Support platform bring-up, productization, manufacturing deployment, and production software releases
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as design specs, manuals, and operational guides
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and system teams to ensure smooth integration and system reliability
