A global engineering company in Singapore is seeking an Electronics Technician to assist in assembly and quality control checks. You will work with various electronic test equipment and collaborate with the Engineering Department on product improvements. The ideal candidate has a Diploma in electronics and 1–3 years of relevant experience.
You will report directly to the Electronics Lab Supervisor and assist in electronic assembly works, QC checks during assembly, and run series of tests to ensure product reliability meets Fugro’s standards.
Hands‑on proficiency with electronic test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, data analyzers, and multimeters for debugging and validation.
Adept at reading and interpreting technical documentation, including PCB schematics, system wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
Strong knowledge and proven ability in electronic troubleshooting at the component, board, and system levels, with the ability to produce detailed reports.
Perform PCB and component assembly works, wiring of electronics enclosers, pods, consoles, etc.
Conduct functional tests on PCBs and electronic assemblies and produce test certificates based on Fugro test procedures.
Configure surface and subsea equipment such as pilot consoles, navigation sensors, IP cameras, LED lights, and surface control computers.
Conduct QC checks and produce non‑conformance reports (NCR) if a component does not meet the standard.
Collaborate closely with the Engineering Department and Innovation Team on product improvement initiatives.
Minimum Diploma engineering in electronics or equivalent.
Previous experience as an electronics technician with 1–3 years of experience preferred.

Knowledge in various communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, Ethernet, etc.
Willingness to work flexibly until tasks are finished if required.
Positive attitude and willingness to take initiatives, coupled with an aptitude to develop knowledge and acquire new skills.
A good team player with strong communication skills.
Knowledge in building test jigs and writing test code for automated testing (e.g. using Python, LabVIEW, or similar) will be a significant advantage.
