Job description

Are you a recent graduate or early career engineer excited to work on cutting edge technologies? The Quantum Innovation Centre at A*STAR is looking for an independent and motivated Electronics Engineer to join our team in developing next generation quantum sensors for real world applications.

About the Role:

As an electronics engineer, you will be part of a multi disciplinary and collaborative team working on the design, assembly, and testing of electronic components in a practical quantum sensor. You will gain hands on experience and be mentored by experienced engineers and scientists in a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and layout of PCBs using tools such as KiCAD.
  • Perform SPICE simulations to validate circuit designs.
  • Support the assembly and testing of electronic sub systems for quantum sensors.
  • Oversee the procurement of electronic components and services, including vendor communication and technical documentation.
  • Assist in component selection through market surveys and technical evaluations.
  • Collaborate with physicists, mechanical engineers, and other team members to ensure system integration.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Some experience in at least one of the following: PCB layout design (e.g., using KiCAD or similar tools) or SPICE simulations for analog/digital circuits.
  • Strong interest in electronics design and emerging technologies.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • A proactive, hands on attitude and eagerness to learn.
