Job summary

Quest Global in Singapore is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to create and document electrical systems for semiconductor equipment in line with system specifications. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliability and performance while adhering to safety standards. The role leverages CAD tools (AutoCAD, Zuken E3) and PLM platforms (Enovia, Teamcenter) to manage design data and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in semiconductor equipment or high-precision automation.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design concepts and schematics.
• Familiarity with control systems, relays, power supplies, and cable harness.
• Experience with BOM management, documentation, and release processes.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Zuken E3, and safety/compliance standards.
• Experience with PLM tools like Enovia and Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical system/subsystem and develop schematics per spec.
• ECO/ECR creation and BOM updates; materials disposition.
• Create and review drawings, specs, and standards.
• Design low‑voltage switchgear circuits and select components.
• Ensure compliance with SEMI S22/S2 and NFPA safety standards.
• Coordinate with Assembly, Operations and Supply Chain on BOM changes.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Creative problem solver with strong communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical system/subsystem according to the system specification and develop electrical schematics and layouts.
• ECO/ECR creation & BOM updates, dispositions of materials.
• Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Design of low voltage switchgear circuits, able to select components.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards - SEMI S22, S2 & NFPA standards.
• Communicate & Coordinate with Assembly, operations & Supply chain on Parts qualifications/BOM changes.
• Coordinate with suppliers and clarification / issue solving while manufacturing the parts.
• Creative problem solver with excellent communication skills

Work Experience

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field
• Min 5 year+ experience in semiconductor equipment industry or high precision automation equipment industry is preferred
• Thorough technical knowledge of electrical engineering design concepts and application components, Schematics, electrical system, OEM components selection.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and components, control systems, relays, power supplies, cable harness.
• Knowledge on BOM management, Documentation, release process, Reliability testing.
• Knowledge on Cable Design/BOM preparation, Schematic design, Engineering Change Management, E, CAD Tools(Autocad /Zuken E3), Safety and Compliance
• Experience in PLM tools like Enovia and Teamcenter
