Job summary

A leading marine services provider in Singapore is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to supervise and conduct maintenance on marine electrical systems. Key responsibilities include performing electrical wiring, troubleshooting circuitry, and ensuring quality standards are met for work on vessels. The ideal candidate has experience in the marine industry and expertise with relevant testing devices.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical wiring and maintenance in a marine environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control circuitry.
• Familiarity with testing devices such as Multimeter and Insulation tester.

• Supervise and maintain marine electrical systems and components.
• Perform wiring modifications and troubleshooting.
• Test and ensure the quality of electrical systems.

Job description

• Supervise and perform maintenance of marine electrical system/component in workshops and onboard vessels.
• Perform electrical wiring, cabling and modification of electrical circuit.
• Dismantle and troubleshooting for Electrical and Control circuitry.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as Multimeter, Insulation tester and Process calibrator
• Participate in the repair of electrical components in workshop and onboard ships.
• Ensure work daily assigned are carried out effectively and productively to meet customer specifications and requirements
• Ensure safety, quality of work and meet delivery deadline
• Performs maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarm and lighting circuits
• Conducts insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables to determine condition and effects repairs or replacements as required
• Supervises and participate in the installation and/or alteration to electrical systems aboard ships
