Job summary

A leading marine technology company is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee maintenance of marine electrical systems both in workshops and onboard vessels. The ideal candidate will supervise electrical wiring and modifications, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and conduct testing of electrical systems. Job description
ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR
  • Supervise and perform maintenance of marine electrical system/component in workshops and onboard vessels
  • Perform electrical wiring, cabling and modification of electrical circuit.
  • Dismantle and troubleshooting for Electrical and Control circuitry.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as Multimeter, Insulation tester and Process calibrator
  • Participate in the repair of electrical components in workshop and onboard ships.
  • Ensure work daily assigned are carried out effectively and productively to meet customer specifications and requirements
  • Ensure safety, quality of work and meet delivery deadline
  • Performs maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarm and lighting circuits
  • Conducts insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables to determine condition and effects repairs or replacements as required
  • Supervises and participate in the installation and/or alteration to electrical systems aboard ships
