As a Project Engineer (Electrical) at APP Engineering Pte Ltd, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical systems for building construction projects across Singapore. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to safety, compliance, and engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Project Execution and Site Planning
- Plan, schedule, and oversee on-site installation of electrical distribution systems, including ELV and security systems.
- Assist in preparing material BOQs, selecting equipment, and recommending installation methods.
- Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Attend coordination and progress meetings to resolve technical and scheduling issues.
- Supervise site activities including sub-contracted works and workforce deployment.
- Monitor site progress, resource allocation, and material usage to prevent wastage.
- Regulatory & Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations (e.g. EMA, SCDF).
- Conduct site safety inspections and implement corrective actions when risks are identified.
- Liaise with consultants and RE/RTOs for inspections, testing, and commissioning.
- Lead the testing and commissioning of systems to verify safety and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installation or commissioning.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and manage project documentation including drawings, material records, inspection reports, and progress updates.
- Ensure proper documentation for authority submissions and project handover.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in residential, commercial or infrastructure projects.
- Certifications:
- Valid safety certifications (e.g., BCSS, Bizsafe).
- Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certification is an advantage.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of HT/LT electrical systems, ELV and security systems.
- Familiarity with local codes, standards, and authority submission processes.
- Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM is an advantage.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
