Job summary

Julian Grey’s client, an established engineering firm specializing in mechanical and electrical (M&E) solutions, seeks a site engineer to oversee electrical construction works in Singapore. You will lead supervisors, subcontractors and vendors, coordinate programmes and drawing submissions, and ensure safety and quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to commissioning.

Strong communication with main contractors and consultants is essential to drive project

Qualifications

• Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or M&E construction projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead supervisors, subcontractors and vendors in executing site works, ensuring project schedules and workmanship standards are met.
• Coordinate site activities, construction programmes, Combined Services Drawings (CSD) and project progress with main contractors, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Attend site coordination and progress meetings, resolve site issues and provide timely technical support to relevant parties. Ensure all site activities comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, including enforcing safety requirements among subcontractors.
• Prepare and submit shop drawings, as-built drawings and material submissions, while maintaining accurate drawing registers and submission records.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee testing and commissioning activities through to successful project completion.
