Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced technician to perform maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical systems and instrumentation equipment. The ideal candidate has a diploma in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or process industries. Hands-on experience with instrument calibration and electrical systems is essential. The role includes collaborating with engineers and training junior technicians.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or process industries.
  • Ability to troubleshoot E&I issues and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Experience in preventative maintenance and regular inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine operations, planned maintenance, and corrective maintenance on systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and instrumentation equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers on E&I projects.

Skills

Hands-on experience in instrument calibration
Strong knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Strong knowledge of electrical control systems
Ability to read electrical/instrumentation diagrams

Education

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/instrumentation diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Train and guide junior technicians in E&I procedures.
