Job summary

A leading chemical company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to oversee E&I activities, ensuring compliance with legal and ISO requirements. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 3 years of experience in the petrochemical industry, and strong leadership skills. This role includes managing departmental budgets and completing tasks safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of E&I Maintenance experience in Petrochemical or Refineries.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily E&I activities including PM and job list
• Annual shutdown maintenance
• Lead E&I team for inspection, calibration and troubleshooting.
• Ensure department activities comply to legal and ISO requirements
• Provide necessary in-house training to departmental staffs include daily toolbox.
• Arrange third party E&I testing/calibration as per customer requirements
• Assist in managing departmental budget
• Monitor inventory and ensure critical spare availability
• Arrange in-house servicing to cut down costs
• Ensure Fixed Asset tracking and maintenance
• Procurement of E&I equipment
• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports and keep documentation up to date
• Ensure safe and timely completion of projects

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/Instrumentation/Control Engineering, or related field.
• Preferred DCS,PLC or Automation certification
• Minimum 3 yrs E&I Maintenance experience in Petrochemical/Refineries
• Knowledge in VSD, Control systems will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge in Sub-station/ Control room by analysing electrical drawings.
• Yokogawa Centum VP familiarity is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills including inter-departmental collaboration.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and lead a team of technicians.
• Able to attend emergency call out jobs beyond office hours
