Job Description
- Assist in the preparation and review of electrical system designs, including equipment sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, power system studies, and electrical layouts.
- Support the development of single-line diagrams, schematic drawings, and other design documentation.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of electrical works.
- Develop and track project schedules to ensure timely completion of electrical engineering tasks.
- Assist in preparing technical specifications, conducting technical bid evaluations, and handling procurement processes.
- Review sub-contractors’ and vendors’ submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements and design standards.
- Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure they align with design specifications and safety regulations. • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving site‑related technical issues.
- Prepare checklists and reports related to installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the team in addressing client comments and securing necessary approvals for electrical works.
- Maintain proper documentation and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry (experience in water/wastewater projects is an advantage).
- Experience in electrical system design, installation, testing, and commissioning, including high-voltage and low-voltage systems, transformers, motor starters, cabling, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
- Experience in project execution and coordination.
- Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP) and BIM software (e.g., Bentley, Revit, Navisworks).
- Good understanding of electrical system design and industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Self‑motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Willing to work full‑time at the project site.
