Job Summary

The company is looking for an Electrical Engineer with expertise in refrigeration product design & testing to join the product development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and validating electrical systems for commercial food equipment and refrigeration products. The role requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure performance, safety, cost, and manufacturability targets are met.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the design and development of electrical systems and components for hot and refrigeration products, including schematics, PCB layouts, and BOM.
  • Manage equipment design specifications, testing, and provide technical guidance to internal teams and external customers.
  • Coordinate product design and performance evaluation testing with suppliers and manufacturing partners in Thailand and China, ensuring DFM and cost optimization.
  • Oversee cold equipment design, testing, and costing to support QSR and project requirements.
  • Manage product certification, compliance, and validation programs (e.g., UL, CE, EMI/EMC, safety, thermal performance).
  • Select, qualify, and troubleshoot electrical components to meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards during development and production.
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, including spec sheets, manuals, and design records, in line with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Support knowledge transfer through product training, risk assessments, FMEA, and design reviews to ensure product reliability and customer readiness.
Requirements
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 3–10 years of experience in electrical design for refrigeration, HVAC, or related appliance industries.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical safety, motor control, and embedded control systems.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or Altium).
  • Familiarity with applicable standards: UL, IEC, CSA, ASHRAE.
  • Hands‑on experience with electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with embedded firmware development or working with firmware teams.
  • Familiarity with IoT‑enabled refrigeration products or smart control systems.
  • Understanding of energy efficiency standards (DOE, Energy Star).
  • Experience with PLM tools and stage‑gate product development processes.
