Responsibilities:
  • Propose and support Sales for preparation of technical drawings and compliance of switch mode rectifiers/power systems solutions for telecom and industrial application, including power distribution, battery backup systems, converters, and control monitoring.
  • Collaborate with sales to gather and analyse the customer requirements, ensuring that the proposed solutions meet the performance, efficiency, and safety standards.
  • Create detailed technical plans for the implementation, testing, and maintenance of power systems, considering factors like load requirements, redundancy, and faults or alarm monitoring.
  • Choose appropriate and cost‑effective components and materials for systems designs such as batteries, converters, and monitoring systems, based on project requirements and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, procurement, operations, and production to build the DC power systems.
  • Coordinate and handles customer factory acceptance test (FAT) with testing engineer for power systems tests to validate the functionality, efficiency, and safety of DC power systems. Analyse test results and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Create user documentation, including technical specifications, general arrangement drawings, single line and schematics diagrams, and user manuals for DC power systems.
  • Conduct customer training for DC power systems solutions.
  • Resolve technical issues related to DC power systems during installation, commissioning, and operation.
  • Ensure that DC power systems adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, such as safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends in DC power systems. Identify opportunities for system enhancements and propose innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of previous experience in designing and implementing DC power systems or related electrical systems is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in designing and analysing DC power systems, including knowledge of power electronics, voltage regulation, converters, and battery backup technologies.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD software and Visio stencils.
  • Strong systems engineering mindset, with the ability to consider the broader context and interactions of components within the system.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and address technical challenges in DC power systems.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Basic project management skills to plan and execute tasks within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Thoroughness in documenting designs, plans, and test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations related to electrical systems and DC power systems.
  • A mindset of seeking out innovative solutions and continuous improvement for enhancing system performance and efficiency.
