Job summary

A leading minerals processing company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee the utilities and facilities of their plant. The role involves ensuring the safe and reliable operation of all electrical equipment, maintaining plant electrical systems, and supporting process and utility equipment. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and 5–10 years of relevant experience. This position includes responsibilities in emergency troubleshooting and compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Around 5–10 years of experience in plant, utility, or manufacturing operations & maintenance preferred.
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings.
• Good knowledge of safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee the utilities and facilities of our plant. You will handle day-to-day maintenance, support production, and ensure the safe and reliable operation of all electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain plant electrical systems, including:
  • LT/HT panels, DG sets, VFDs, MCCs, DBs, motors, UPS, etc.
• Support process and utility equipment as required.
• Work with PLC / SCADA systems for troubleshooting, monitoring, and control.
• Plan and carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for equipment failures.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and OEMs for service and spare parts.
• Prepare and update maintenance checklists, logbooks, and reports.
• Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions.
• Drive energy‑saving, reliability, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, work permits, and statutory requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma/ Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Around 5–10 years of experience in plant, utility, or manufacturing operations & maintenance preferred.
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
  1. Electrical distribution and protection systems
  2. PLC/SCADA monitoring and basic troubleshooting
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings.
• Good knowledge of safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Willing to work in shifts if required.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
