Job summary

Recruit Expert Pte. Ltd. seeks an experienced electrical design engineer to deliver power transmission and distribution solutions. You will design transformers, MV/LV switchgear and prefabricated substations, translating client requirements into detailed electrical drawings and specifications.

You will coordinate with customers, internal teams and regional stakeholders, supporting FAT/SAT, commissioning and issue resolution. Travel for regional projects may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant electrical design experience in the power systems / T&D sector.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power & Distribution Transformers, MV/LV Switchgears and Prefabricated Substations.
• Good knowledge of electrical design principles, applicable standards and engineering documentation, with experience using AutoCAD; EPLAN or ETAP knowledge.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and stakeholders at different levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver electrical engineering solutions for power transmission and distribution applications, focusing on transformers, MV/LV switchgears and prefabricated substations.
• Review customer requirements, tender specifications and technical documents, and translate them into electrical designs, including SLDs, schematics, GA drawings, BOMs and calculations.
• Lead technical coordination with customers, internal teams and regional stakeholders, ensuring design interfaces and deliverables are addressed.
• Provide technical support throughout project execution, including FAT, SAT, testing and commissioning, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Contribute to value engineering, standardisation and continuous improvement of electrical solutions, with occasional overseas travel to support regional projects.
