Responsibilities:
- Promote a “Safety First” culture across all operations.
- Act as Fire Safety Manager and ensure compliance with local safety and fire regulations.
- Provide expertise in safety, emergency preparedness, risk management, and dangerous goods storage.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and training.
- Support regional initiatives such as Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) and Business Continuity Management (BCM).
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and site evaluations.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and generate performance reports.
- Lead investigations of incidents and near-misses, implement corrective actions, and oversee early intervention and injury management programs.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to uphold safety standards.
- Conduct safety campaigns and awareness initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and regulations to drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- 6+ years’ experience in safety management, ideally in logistics or supply chain.
- Professional qualifications in Health, Safety & Well-Being management.
- Valid Fire Safety Manager certification and Management of Hazardous Substance License.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and ensuring compliance.
- Desirable certifications: BCMS ISO 22301:2019, Dangerous Goods, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, injury rehabilitation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and tools such as Power BI.
- Willingness to travel to sites and work outside regular hours as needed.
