The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in safety management, a relevant tertiary qualification, and valid certifications. Responsibilities include conducting audits, leading incident investigations, and collaborating with internal teams to uphold safety standards.

Job description
Responsibilities:
  • Promote a “Safety First” culture across all operations.
  • Act as Fire Safety Manager and ensure compliance with local safety and fire regulations.
  • Provide expertise in safety, emergency preparedness, risk management, and dangerous goods storage.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and training.
  • Support regional initiatives such as Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) and Business Continuity Management (BCM).
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and site evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and generate performance reports.
  • Lead investigations of incidents and near-misses, implement corrective actions, and oversee early intervention and injury management programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to uphold safety standards.
  • Conduct safety campaigns and awareness initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulations to drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • 6+ years’ experience in safety management, ideally in logistics or supply chain.
  • Professional qualifications in Health, Safety & Well-Being management.
  • Valid Fire Safety Manager certification and Management of Hazardous Substance License.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and ensuring compliance.
  • Desirable certifications: BCMS ISO 22301:2019, Dangerous Goods, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, injury rehabilitation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and tools such as Power BI.
  • Willingness to travel to sites and work outside regular hours as needed.
