Job summary

A leading safety consultancy firm in Singapore is seeking a Workplace Safety Officer. The role involves ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations, conducting safety audits, and advising stakeholders on health matters. Ideal candidates should have at least 3 years of experience and possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health. Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance in all workplaces in accordance to WSH Regulations and all applicable legal requirements
  • Recommend reasonable practicable measures for all gaps for closures
  • Work with various stakeholders to upkeep and maintain the company’s Integrated Management System
  • Advise stakeholders on all related Workplace Safety & Health matters
  • Assist in carrying out accident investigation and developing reasonably practicable measures to prevent recurrences
  • Carry out regular inspection and audits of workplaces to ensure safe and healthy condition/environment for all
  • Assist in the continued review and maintain ISO compliance
  • Prepare and conduct safety briefings, coordinate external safety training and attend client safety meetings and events
  • Investigate workplace incidents and reporting to authorities
  • Submit insurance claims and monitor reimbursement
  • Liaise with subcontractor on external facade works or any other external projects
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar capacity
  • Good knowledge in buildings and environmental safety
  • Possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
  • Able to interact with all levels and a good team player
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and practices
