Job summary

A leading healthcare organization in Singapore is seeking an EHS Engineer to oversee compliance with health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will conduct EHS audits, lead fire safety drills, and ensure adherence to safety procedures. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3-5 years of relevant experience. This position offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to impact health and safety in healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

  • Certified Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO); Fire Safety Manager certification is a plus.

Job description
EHS Engineer, Healthcare Facilities Management (Environmental, Health & Safety)

Conduct regular EHS and Fire Safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory and healthcare safety standards

Lead and support fire safety drills, emergency response exercises, and safety briefings for departments

Coordinate licensing applications, renewals and submissions, including hazardous substances and radiation/controlled items where applicable

Monitor compliance with hazardous substance requirements and ensure proper documentation, storage and handling procedures

Participate in permit-to-work (PTW) evaluations, ensuring contractors adhere to institutional safety guidelines

Investigate workplace incidents and near-misses, preparing clear reports with corrective and preventive actions

Work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors and regulatory agencies to maintain robust safety governance

Support EHS initiatives, safety programmes and continuous improvement projects within the healthcare campus

What we're looking for

Bachelor Degree level in Electrical/ Facilities Management/ Power/ Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Marine or related Engineering studies

3 - 5 years of working experience and strong working knowledge in Environmental Engineering, preferably within healthcare setting

Certified and registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO); Fire Safety Manager certification is an added advantage

Able to communicate effectively, manage priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
