Job summary

NCS is seeking a DevOps/platform engineer for its AI Center of Excellence. You will embed automation, security, and operability into the enterprise AI data platforms, ensuring secure, repeatable, and observable services across multiple teams.

You will own CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform), Kubernetes with Helm, and observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo), collaborating with Platform AI Engineers to improve reliability and developer experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the platform and AI services.
• Standardize deployment and release processes across the platform.
• Develop reusable automation artifacts and templates.
• Implement IaC using Terraform or equivalent.
• Implement security controls within delivery pipelines.
• Enforce policy compliance and secure pipeline practices.
• Ensure platform services meet enterprise security standards.
• Operate and enhance observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo).
• Monitor platform health, performance, and reliability metrics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues.
• Collaborate with Platform AI Engineers and other teams.
• Drive continuous improvement for platform reliability and usability.
• Contribute to platform adoption strategies and developer experience.
• Manage Kubernetes deployment patterns using Helm.

Job Description

You will be part of the AI Center of Excellence (AI COE), a centralized platform team responsible for building, operating, and evolving enterprise-grade AI and data platforms consumed by multiple internal engineering and project teams.

The AI COE operates as a platform product organization, not a project delivery or system integration team. It owns shared capabilities end-to-end, including integration services, AI enablement, developer tooling, observability, and governance. Success is measured by platform adoption, usability, reliability, and long-term value, rather than one-off delivery milestones.

In this role, you will embed automation, security, and operability into the AI COE platform. You will ensure platform services are provisioned, deployed, and operated in a secure, repeatable, and observable manner.

What will you do?

Platform Automation & CI/CD

• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for platform and AI services
• Standardize deployment and release processes across the platform
• Develop and maintain reusable automation artifacts and templates
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or equivalent tools

Security & Compliance

• Implement security controls within delivery pipelines
• Enforce policy compliance and secure pipeline practices
• Ensure platform services meet enterprise security standards

Platform Observability & Operations

• Operate and enhance platform observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo)
• Implement sidecar and service-level operational patterns
• Monitor platform health, performance, and reliability metrics
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues proactively

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate closely with Platform AI Engineers and other platform teams
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for platform reliability and usability
• Contribute to platform adoption strategies and developer experience enhancements
• Manage Kubernetes deployment patterns using Helm

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

• 3–5 years of experiencein DevOps or platform engineering roles
• Open to a contractual role
• Experience supporting shared platformsor multi-tenant environments
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code(Terraform or equivalent)
• Proven experience with CI/CD automationfor cloud-native platforms
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetesand Helm deployment patterns
• Proficiency in observability tooling: OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo
• Understanding of sidecar patternsand service-level operational practices
• Familiarity with secure pipeline practicesand policy enforcement concepts
• Automation-first mindsetwith strong attention to security and reliability
• Platform ownership mentalityand commitment to continuous improvement
• Strong collaboration and communication skillsto work across multidisciplinary teams
