Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Head of Commercial Partnerships at WRKS Games, paid on a success commission basis only. The role involves overseeing strategic planning, deal-making, commercial management, and development for our IP properties. It reports directly to the CEO.

Your responsibilities include finding and executing route-to-market deals, IP licensing, new market growth opportunities, and co-branding and commercial brand development deals. This role is created to offload activities currently handled by our CEO into a dedicated position.

Compensation

This role has no fixed salary and is paid solely through commissions—10% of deal value, including residual sales, with a cap of USD 1 million annually. It may take up to three years to reach this cap, with a gradual increase over time.

Person Definition

Ideal candidates will have at least 20 years of industry experience in commercial deal-making and licensing within Video Games, TV, Films, or related fields, with a strong network of contacts in North America and Asia. Secondary focus areas include South America and Africa; Europe is not targeted.

We seek individuals who have successfully transitioned from business development or operations roles, possibly recently retired or seeking their final career move. The role offers a lucrative opportunity to capitalize on a well-established career and generate significant income.

The person must be able to perform at a higher level than the current role holder, with a sharp, detail-oriented, and commercially savvy mindset, and a deep understanding of monetization in the entertainment industry.
