Job description
Educational Therapist – Numeracy (MOE / IB / IGCSE)

About the Role
KidzOTC is seeking an Educational Therapist with strong numeracy confidence to support learners across primary and secondary levels. This role focuses on structured numeracy intervention for students with learning differences, not general tuition. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Occupational and Educational Therapists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct learning assessments to identify numeracy strengths, gaps, and underlying cognitive/processing challenges.
  • Design intervention plans aligned to MOE, IB, or IGCSE expectations, covering number sense, operations, fractions/decimals/percentages, ratio/rates, algebra foundations, geometry, and word‑problem heuristics.
  • Deliver 1:1 and small‑group sessions for students with dyscalculia, ADHD, dyspraxia/DCD, ASD, or executive function challenges.
  • Use structured, evidence‑based approaches (visual‑concrete‑abstract, scaffolding, metacognition, error analysis).
  • Track progress and report outcomes clearly to families and collaborate with the wider team.
  • Work closely with OTs/ETs and parents to ensure consistency and support beyond the clinic.
Requirements

Diploma or Degree in:

  • Psychology / Child Psychology
  • Education / Special Education
  • Early Childhood Education / Learning Support
  • Counselling / Childhood Intervention
  • Related allied health fields (OT/SLT student backgrounds welcome)

Confidence teaching numeracy up to lower‑secondary level (MOE / IB / IGCSE).

Experience working with children with learning needs in a school, clinic, or learning‑support setting.

✅ Strong communication and report‑writing skills.

Preferred (not mandatory)
  • Familiarity with MOE / IB / IGCSE numeracy frameworks
  • Training in Singapore Math pedagogy or structured intervention approaches
  • Experience supporting students with dyscalculia
  • Ability to analyse errors and identify misconceptions
