Job Overview
The EdTech Development Associate will help shape how technology – especially generative AI – transforms teaching and learning at NUS. The role combines educational insight, research and technical skills, and collaborative problem-solving to support the development of AI‑enhanced learning solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to diagnose teaching and learning challenges, then support the development of technology or AI‑enhanced solutions to address specific pedagogical needs.
- Work with the AICET ScholAIstic team and other product teams to support development and testing of AI‑powered educational tools.
- Design and refine AI prompts and workflows for learning, feedback and assessment tools.
- Assist in literature reviews and data gathering to understand emerging learning challenges and student/educator concerns related to the use of Generative AI in education.
- Perform basic data cleaning, organisation, and preliminary analysis of data from digital learning activities and assessments using established methods.
- Prepare summary reports and visualisations based on research findings and data analysis under the guidance of senior staff.
- Assist in the logistical preparation and execution of test runs of experimental learning activities with students, including scheduling and material preparation.
- Support the creation of training resources, guides, and materials to educate the NUS community on best practices for using AI in education.
- Provide support for engaging focus groups, surveys, and sharing sessions on teaching and learning with AI.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Degrees in Education, Learning Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cognitive Science, or Data Science are advantageous.
- Candidates should demonstrate interest in education or educational technology through relevant coursework, projects, internships, or teaching/tutoring experience.
- Good communication skills (English: written and spoken).
- Strong interpersonal, time management and organisational skills.
