We are seeking an Economist to join our investment team. Reporting to our Head of Research the successful candidate will contribute market insights to our CIO and investment team based on rigorous fundamental economic research and modelling.

Focused mainly on the larger APAC economies, the jobholder will track and forecast regional economic dynamics, develop proprietary macro models and communicate in real time with the investment team. As such the role requires excellent interpersonal skills, possibly with multilingual abilities.

The successful candidate will actively engage with key market participants, policy watchers, sell side economists and regional stakeholders to identify differentiated insights and separate signal from noise.

Required Experiences / profile

• ~5 years of experience in an economics or macro strategy role, ideally within a top-tier sell-side or buy-side institution.
• Strong analytical foundation with the ability to build and maintain fundamental macro models and monitors.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building chops—capable of distilling complex ideas and defending views under pushback.
• Deep knowledge of Asian economies ability to identify executable trading strategies based on economic forecasts.
• Excellent academic credentials in relevant disciplines.
• Strong technical / coding skills will be beneficial.
