Job summary

An education center in Paya Lebar is seeking an Early Intervention Teacher to develop and implement individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students. Responsibilities include studying client behaviors and applying treatment principles to foster educational development. Candidates with at least a Nitec in Special Education are encouraged to apply, and training will be provided. This permanent position offers a competitive salary package with working hours from Monday to Friday.

Job Description

  • Industry/ Organization Type: Education Centre

  • Position Title: Early Intervention Teacher

  • Working Location: Paya Lebar

  • Working Hours: 5 days (Mon – Fri: 8am – 5.30pm / 8.30am – 6pm)

  • Salary Package: Basic salary + AWS + Performance Bonus

  • Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Study client’s behaviour and apply behavioral therapy principles.

  • Develop individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student Implement IEPs, assess students’ performance and track their progress.

  • Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect student’s progress and goals.

  • Manage a group of students of ratio 1:4-5 kids with other teachers in the class.

  • Be able to recognize and respond to critical improvements in students’ behaviours.

  • Become familiar with and use behavioural redirection techniques

  • Know how to respond to negative behaviours appropriately.

  • Provide written documentation on each student.

  • Communicate progress with managers and parents.
