Working Hours: Weekdays, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional overnight travel for field trips)

Job Description

We are seeking a professional Early Childhood Educator to provide nurturing, research-informed care and learning for twin infants in a private home. The educator will design and lead age-appropriate developmental activities to support language, motor, cognitive, and socio-emotional growth, in line with Singapore’s early childhood best practices and frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct daily learning and play activities that promote holistic infant development.
  • Support language development, fine and gross motor skills, sensory play, and early problem-solving through play-based approaches.
  • Organize daily outdoor excursions (e.g. playgrounds, parks, neighbourhood walks) and weekly field trips to enrich exploration.
  • Prepare and submit weekly activity and development plans tailored to the twins’ developmental stage.
  • Identify, monitor, and document monthly developmental milestones, and share progress reports with parents.
  • Develop baby-led weaning and nutrition plans (no cooking required), aligned with infant nutrition guidelines.
  • Coordinate with two full-time domestic helpers for logistics, set-up, clean-up, and safety during activities, outings, and travel.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and organised environment for learning and play.
  • Keep up to date with child psychology, child development, and early childhood education research, and apply evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) / Early Childhood Development (ECD) or equivalent, preferably on ECDA’s recognised qualifications list.
  • ECDA-certified (L1 or L2) preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working with infants/toddlers in preschool, childcare, or early intervention settings.
  • Familiarity with Singapore’s Early Years Development Framework (EYDF) / NEL principles, infant milestones, and play-based learning.
  • Knowledge of baby-led weaning, infant nutrition, and feeding safety.
  • Infant CPR and First Aid certification from an ECDA- or MOM-recognised provider.
  • Up-to-date vaccinations as recommended by MOH for those working with young children.
  • Strong communication, observation, and planning skills; comfortable working closely with parents and within a household team (including domestic helpers).
