Job Description
  • Participate in interviews and initial assessment of prospective students with learning needs, particularly in regards to English as Additional Language, as required
  • Initiate appropriate assessment and testing of children referred by Class Teachers via the Senior Principal and/or the Principal
  • Work closely with the Senior Principal and the Principal to plan, deliver, monitor, assess and develop the EAL programme in Middleton
  • Liaise with Class Teachers in assessing and monitoring children’s progress.
  • Work closely with teachers, Vice-Principal, Principal and any specialists to develop an individual education plan if required
  • Collaborate with staff in long term planning.
  • Take corporate responsibility for displays throughout the school.
  • Share management and delivery of assemblies.
  • Offer and receive advice and guidance on issues which affect the whole school’s performance and ethos.
  • Share your expertise.
  • Participate in appraisal procedures and in-service training that provide personal, professional and career development.
Who are we looking for
