About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer, you will work with the Engineering team members and Engineers. You will be on normal shift and may be placed on shift cover if needed.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for safety personnel and plant
- Participate directly in site emergency response team
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of complex liquid, drying and powder processing, and packaging equipment
- Back up and maintain PLC, HMI, VSD and other controller program and software version
- Troubleshoot automation issue by hardware or instrument, program setting/bug and connection issue
- Knowledge in Alen Bradley PLC, Wonderware SCADA and In Batch system for Troubleshoot automation related in Process control system (PCS) and Building Management system (BMS)
- Evaluation of P&IDs, functional design specification
- Responsible for performing PM’s and work orders as well as project work
- Disassembly, diagnosis, repairs and re-assembly of machinery to hygienic and sanitary standards
- Participates in the development of a Predictive Maintenance program at Tuas.
- Complete all necessary reports and documentation via hardcopy and computer
- Communicate with Engineering technician on any major process issues as and when required
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in accordance to all safety and GMP policies
- Be able to use independent judgment and work well within a team concept
- Interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner
- Follow all cGMP requirements to ensure proper manufacturing environment
- Actively participate in the resolution and elimination of downtime issues
- Assist in the creation of SOP’s, checklist, and work instructions
- Complete all necessary transactions, reports and documentation with accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment to 5S or similar standard
- Be able to use independent judgment and work well within a team environment
- Adhere to the Tuas Code of Conduct
- Provide technical assistance and support regarding all projects, installations, and repairs
- Maintain smooth communication with different levels of departments and peers
- Upgrade hardware and software for improved process control
Requirements
- Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Electrical & Electronics / Mechatronics equivalent qualifications
- At least 3 years of industrial automation & maintenance experience
- Knowledge in GMP and SAP is a must have
- Basic electrical knowledge and exposure to PLC is required
- Basic knowledge in MS office
- Previous experience in a food or pharma manufacturing environment is preferred with experience and knowledge in Automation and predictive and preventative maintenance technologies.
