Job description:
Responsibilities:
  1. Productivity:
  2. Deploy and effectively utilize manpower and material resources in the department, liaising with other departments on daily production schedules.
  3. Generate and monitor drawings/technical information issuing schedules.
  4. Attend assigned project progress and HAT meetings.
  5. Prepare for VSCC meetings.
  6. Assess staff work performance as required.
  7. Identify training needs for staff.
  8. Monitor job progress, man-hours, and productivity of assigned jobs.
  9. Study and evaluate work processes and methods, exploring new ideas to improve work quality and productivity.
  10. Liaise with owner’s representatives and/or class surveyors during witness/inspection.
Quality:
  1. Evaluate technical/engineering requirements of jobs and review drawings.
  2. Resolve technical problems or issues with contractors, class, and owners on site.
  3. Monitor and ensure quality work is produced according to schedule.
  4. Conduct risk assessments, BBS observations, and hazard reporting.
  5. Participate in the department’s safety work plan.
  6. Ensure activities meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  1. Diploma in Engineering or related technical fields.
  2. Knowledge of ship's accommodation and carpentry works.
  3. Ability to interpret technical/electrical drawings and specifications.
  4. Knowledge of HVAC systems.
Other Information:
  1. Location: Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided).
  2. 5-day work week.
  3. Working hours: 7:25 am - 5:00 pm.
