Job description

Location: Changi Airfreight Centre
Salary: Up to $4,200 + Attractive Shift & Weekend Allowances
Working Hours: Rotating Shifts
AM Shift: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
PM Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Additional $20/day shift allowance)
Weekend Shift: 1 weekend/month (Work From Home unless stated)
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM ($60/day)
Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM ($100/day)

About the Role:

This role oversees daily air and sea freight operations, ensures regulatory compliance, optimizes processes, and leads a team to deliver efficient logistics solutions while maintaining strong client communication and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Freight Operations Management

  • Oversee daily air and sea freight operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.

  • Manage cross-border tracking processes in compliance with international shipping and customs regulations.

  • Liaise with carriers, customs authorities, and key stakeholders to prevent and resolve operational disruptions.

Process Optimization

  • Identify areas of inefficiency in freight workflows and implement enhancements to improve overall operational performance.

  • Utilize data insights to refine strategies, reduce delays, and optimize cost efficiency.

Client Communication

  • Provide timely shipment updates and proactively address client concerns to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Work collaboratively with the Customer Focus Team to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all freight operations comply with applicable international laws and industry regulations.

  • Maintain accurate and complete shipment records, including customs documentation and tracking reports.

  • Oversee timely billing and conduct invoice verifications to ensure accuracy.

Problem Solving

  • Analyze complex situations, evaluate solutions, and make timely decisions to resolve operational issues and customer complaints.

Requirements

Education

  • Diploma, degree, or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Leadership Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years in a freight and logistics leadership role.

  • Proven experience leading teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Hands-On Management

  • Willingness to work alongside the team on the ground to ensure operational excellence.

  • Ability to lead and manage day-to-day activities actively.
