Responsibilities

About the team: Our team is responsible for building and owning TikTok's algorithms, which provide our users with the best user experience. On the TikTok team, you'll have the opportunity to build a full-stack system and utilize machine learning methods from related fields such as NLP, Computer Vision, Multimodal, and Recommender Systems. We embrace a culture of self-direction, intellectual curiosity, openness, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading the entire TikTok business in Singapore or focusing on one or more of the following core areas:

• Improving basic search quality and user experience by optimizing query analysis and text relevance matching, understanding video content, and implementing multi-modal matching.
• Enhancing users' perception of product authority and actively participating in the design and implementation of core search products.
• Designing and implementing an end-to-end ranking system (recall, pre-rank, rank, and mixed rank) using behavioral data to model personalized interests.
• Promoting ecosystem development by solving challenging problems, analyzing, and adjusting system evolution for sustainable growth.
• Monitoring the results and quality of software solutions and projects implemented within the organization.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industry experience in fields such as NLP, Ranking, Ads, Search Engine, Recommendation Systems, or Machine Learning.
• Strong technical skills, including excellent coding, solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and analytical, modeling, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Self-driven with the ability to understand the business deeply, adapt to rapid changes, and communicate effectively to promote project implementation.
• Team management experience is a plus.
