Job summary

inlingua Singapore is seeking passionate, experienced language teachers to help learners achieve proficiency in languages from around the world. You will teach group courses, 1:1 sessions, face-to-face or online, and contribute to a wide variety of teaching experiences.

The role requires a degree and teaching certification, with 3+ years of language teaching experience, plus the ability to plan lessons and deliver engaging classes for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• High proficiency in and comprehensive knowledge of the language taught.
• Effective working proficiency with English for communication with administrative staff.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Certification or equivalent training in modern, communicative language pedagogy.
• 3+ years of language teaching experience.
• Ability to lead and plan lessons for face-to-face and online classes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging and instructive individual or group sessions onsite, offsite, or online.
• Create a positive, motivating and effective learning environment.
• Present high-quality language and pedagogical knowledge and develop professionally.
• Create original lesson plans and activities aligned with syllabi or tailored for learners.
• Evaluate learners’ performance and provide feedback through assessments.
• Support learners needing extra help to meet their goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues, share materials, and participate in school events.
• Conduct placement interviews to assess new learners and select suitable courses.
• Keep records of learner progress and write progress reports.
• Comply with CPE and EduTrust regulations.
