Job summary

A leading transport service provider based in Singapore is seeking a knowledgeable individual to oversee the daily manpower allocation and scheduling of bus captains. This role requires at least three years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment and a diploma in any field. Candidates should have experience with manpower planning tools and an eye for detail, alongside excellent communication skills. This position plays a critical part in ensuring operational reliability and service continuity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in public transport operations is advantageous.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.

Job description
Job Roles
  • Responsible for the day-to-day manpower allocation, scheduling and daily operational deployment of bus captains.

  • Oversees the Despatch and Allocation Offices, ensuring optimal manpower utilisation, operational reliability and bus service continuity for the depot.

  • Monitor and submit reports related to manpower availability to Senior Management on a regular basis.

  • Regularly reviews policies and process flows to improve manpower availability and productivity.

  • Responsible for the safety, health and wellbeing of the department staff and visitors to the department through effective safety leadership and compliance with the business Health and Safety Policy, standards, procedures and processes.

  • Undertake any other operations-related assignments by the Management.

Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in any field.

  • At least 3 years of working experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in the use of Manpower planning and rostering tools.

  • Experience in public transport operations will be an advantage.

  • Good initiatives and ability to make quick and sound judgment.

  • Meticulous with an eye for details.

  • Good command of spoken and written English.

  • Able to multi-task.
