Job summary

SHING LECK ENGINEERING SERVICE PTE. LTD. is seeking a reliable driver to transport employees and operate company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and internal rules.

You will perform routine vehicle checks, arrange servicing, and maintain cleanliness while ensuring safety at all times. The role requires a Class 3 Driving License for a 14 Foot Lorry, strict adherence to LTA limits, and reporting any incidents promptly.

Qualifications

• Class 3 Driving License for a 14 Foot Lorry is required.
• Ability to observe traffic rules and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Transports employees as directed by Logistics Supervisor and managers.
• Observes traffic rules and maximum speed limits as per LTA.
• Maintains vehicles clean and in good running condition; conducts basic maintenance.
• Arranges servicing according to schedule and carries out routine checks (oil, brakes, water, lights, tyres).
• Parks vehicles at designated areas and reports accidents immediately to Logistics Superintendent.
• Ensures safety rules and company directives are followed, including no sleeping in vehicles and no non-company use.

Job Description & Requirements :

• Transports Company’s employees as directed / instructed by the Logistics Supervisor and other designated managers of the Company.
• Observes strictly Traffic Rules and Regulations and maximum speed limits as prescribed by Land Transport Authority (LTA).
• Maintains assigned vehicles clean and in good running condition and carries out maintenance such as washing and housekeeping.
• Arranges for the servicing of the assigned vehicles based on the servicing schedule.
• Carry out routine check-up of the vehicles such as oil, brake function, water, lights and tyre conditions.
• Stops the engine during waiting and idle times either inside or outside client premises or waiting bays.
• Gives careful attention to mounting and dismounting passengers and must always be at sight of passengers.
• Drives the vehicles safely and comfortably always exercising defensive driving while on the road to prevent traffic accidents.
• Parks the vehicles at designated parking areas at all times.
• Reports any traffic accident involving the vehicle he is driving immediately to the Logistics Superintendent.
• Observes strictly all safety and other operational rules, regulations, policies and directives regarding driving the Company’s vehicles, including the prohibition of sleeping in the vehicles and using the vehicles for non-company business.
