Job Responsibilities
- Requirements & Design Development: Communicate with clients to understand their functional needs, design preferences, and budget; conduct on-site measurements of spatial dimensions, structure, and electrical/plumbing layout; prepare floor plans, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
- Materials & Cost Control: Select building materials that align with the design style, environmental standards, and budget (e.g., wall paint, flooring, furniture); provide detailed material lists and quotations; manage costs to ensure the project stays within budget.
- Construction & Implementation Management: Liaise with construction teams, monitor project progress and quality, and ensure that works are executed according to design drawings; coordinate the installation of soft furnishings (such as furniture, lighting, and décor) to complete the final setup of the space.
- Compliance & Safety Assurance: Ensure all design plans comply with building, fire safety, environmental, and ergonomic standards to guarantee a safe and comfortable user environment.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in residential or commercial interior design.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, BIM, SketchUp, and 3D Max (or similar).
- Strong understanding of space planning, materials, and construction detailing.
- Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects independently.
- Creative mindset with a strong sense of aesthetics and practicality.
