Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Drafter for the construction and civil industry in Singapore. The ideal candidate will produce detailed shop drawings, ensure adherence to project specifications, and collaborate closely with engineers and managers. Applicants should hold a diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering and possess 2-3 years of direct drafting experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of local regulatory codes are essential. This permanent position offers a salary of up to $4800 plus performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of direct experience in Civil and Structural (C&S) drafting or design.
• Working knowledge of local regulatory codes and standards (e.g., BCA, URA, LTA, PUB, SCDF).

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed shop drawings for civil/structural elements.
• Generate comprehensive drawing sets, including plans, profiles, and cross-sections.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to project specifications and relevant industry codes.
• Manage drawing records, revisions, and filing systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve design issues.
• Prepare and revise technical drawings based on design team inputs.
• Provide support in developing simple design details and solutions.

Skills

Proficient in AutoCAD

Experience with relevant drafting software

Working knowledge of local regulatory codes and standards

Familiarity with BIM execution plans

• Location : Tuas South Street (Bus nearby)

• Working hours : 5 days a week - 9:00 am -5:45 pm (Monday - Friday)

• Salary (commensurate with experience) : Up to $4800 + Performance Bonus

• Duration : Permanent

• Industry : Civil Engineering & Construction

Main Responsibilities

• Produce detailed shop drawings for civil/structural elements, including rebar, road & drainage, earthworks, formwork, and ERSS.

• Generate comprehensive drawing sets, including plans, profiles, and cross-sections.

• Ensure all drawings adhere to project specifications and relevant industry codes and standards.

• Manage drawing records, revisions, and filing systems to ensure version control and organization.

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to clarify details and resolve design issues.

• Prepare and revise accurate technical drawings based on sketches, markups, and verbal instructions from the design team.

• Provide support in developing simple design details and solutions as required.

Requirements

• At least a Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• 2-3 years of direct experience in Civil and Structural (C&S) drafting or design.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, experience with other relevant drafting software is required.

• Working knowledge of local regulatory codes and standards (e.g., BCA, URA, LTA, PUB, SCDF).

• Familiarity with BIM execution plans and coordination processes is a strong advantage.
