Job summary

MW UNIQUE ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Drafter to join the construction team.

The candidate will prepare detailed drawings for aluminium windows, doors, glass works, shopfronts, curtain walls and other architectural works, based on architectural drawings and site measurements. Responsibilities include producing shop, fabrication and installation drawings, coordinating with project managers and site teams, and ensuring drawings comply with project specs and Singapore standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate in Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, Building, Drafting or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in aluminium, glass, windows, curtain wall or façade works is an advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Able to read and understand architectural and construction drawings.
• Good understanding of dimensions, materials and construction details.
• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings and installation drawings for aluminium, glass, windows and doors.
• Prepare detailed drawings based on architectural drawings, site measurements and project requirements.
• Produce accurate AutoCAD drawings and revise drawings according to project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, contractors, suppliers and clients.
• Check dimensions, specifications and drawing details before submission or fabrication.
• Prepare as-built drawings when required.
• Assist with material take-off and preparation of drawing-related documentation.
• Attend site when necessary to take measurements and verify existing conditions.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and relevant Singapore construction requirements.
• Perform other drafting and technical duties assigned by the management.
