Micron is seeking an experienced SSD program leader to drive development from concept through launch and lifecycle support. You will coordinate cross-functional teams spanning hardware, firmware, ASIC, systems, validation, quality, manufacturing, and business stakeholders.
You will mentor teams, manage risks, align product requirements with customer needs and roadmap commitments, and promote AI-enabled productivity practices to enhance engineering collaboration and execution.
Lead SSD product development programs from concept through qualification, launch, and lifecycle support.
Define and drive program execution strategies, schedules, milestones, and technical deliverables across cross-functional teams.
Coordinate hardware, firmware, ASIC, systems, validation, quality, manufacturing, and business stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
Resolve complex technical, schedule, quality, and integration challenges impacting SSD product delivery.
Drive alignment of product requirements with customer expectations, business priorities, and roadmap commitments.
Assess program risks, identify support deficiencies, and establish corrective actions to ensure successful execution.
Develop organizational capability through effective talent selection, development, coaching, and performance support.
Mentor technical leaders and foster collaboration across global development teams, suppliers, and customers.
Provide regular program status, risk, and readiness updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
Promote structured problem-solving methodologies, continuous improvement practices, and knowledge sharing.
Support operational efficiency initiatives utilizing contemporary engineering and project management tools.
Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one's scope of work.
Fosters adoption of AI-enabled tools such as Copilot and similar productivity platforms to improve engineering collaboration and execution efficiency.
B.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Over 10 years of relevant professional experience in SSD, storage, semiconductor, or related product development environments.
Expert knowledge of SSD product architecture, development, qualification, and lifecycle management.
Strong understanding of NAND flash technologies, SSD ASICs, firmware development, and PCIe/NVMe interfaces and protocols.
Hands‑on hardware design, debugging, and laboratory validation experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
Proficiency with engineering collaboration and program management platforms such as JIRA and Confluence.
Executive‑level communication and stakeholder management.
Leadership of large cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams.
