This position is a coverage role purposed to (i) broaden and deepen the FIG business with a focus on non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) and institutional investors (ii) deliver solutions to clients by working with the relevant internal stakeholders and product officers (iii) discuss innovative financing solutions, global markets and active credit management of the existing portfolio (iv) ensure risks and compliance are managed (v) align with overall Global Corporate Banking Singapore and Financial Institutions business strategy and mid-term plan to deliver results. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience and a strong working knowledge of corporate finance and capital markets, global markets, and other FI/NBFI businesses. This position reports into Head of FI, Singapore.
To contribute to the overall FI relationship strategy and business plans by delivering solutions to develop FI-related businesses such as financing, debt capital markets, hedging, cash clearing, trade and treasury
Collaborate with the team to provide comprehensive coverage of clients and work closely with the Institutional Investors sector coverage team
To drive incremental revenue from new clients, new products and new initiatives in order to achieve country revenue targets
To actively identify, develop and promote new business and relationship management with client groups in cross selling a healthy product mix
To ensure accounts plans are maintained, fit for execution and regularly reviewed
Support Head of Business in preparation of pitch materials, client strategy, research and analysis, internal approvals, and reporting requirements
Responsible for deal execution to ensure smooth documentation process, processing of transactions and delivery of services
Introduce clients to MUFG affiliates and partner banks; explore new opportunities and leverage our global strength as One MUFG
Ensure adherence to all Regional/ Country Risk and Compliance requirements and the prevailing Regulations
Stay updated on market trends and industry developments
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or similar field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a FIG coverage role capacity in a Bank or Financial Institution
Minimum 7 years of experience in financing, capital markets, global markets
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments
Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow
